The King of Shreds and Patches is adapted from a classic scenario written by Justin Tynes for the Call of Cthulhu tabletop RPG published by Chaosium, Inc. The original scenario is available in Chaosium's Strange Aeons anthology. Strange Aeons is out of physical print, but you can still purchase it in PDF format via Drivethru RPG. I've changed a lot of details and fleshed out certain aspects of Justin's original adventure, but it's his story at heart -- even much of the dialog is lifted straight from him. I've searched mightly for Justin on the Internet and come up empty; Chaosium also is unaware of his current wherabouts. So: if you should come across this work, Justin, I'd love to hear from you, if only to say thank you in a more personal way. I wish I could have asked you personally for permission to do this adaptation; believe me, I tried.
The folks at Chaosium, on the other hand, are very easy to find, and they graciously allowed me to borrow their intellectual property for this adaptation. For this I am very grateful. If you'd like to explore further the world of the Call of Cthulhu tabletop RPG, you can do so on Chaosium's website.
